Mo Sangare has been called up to Liberia’s squad for their crunch Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against DR Congo next Sunday.

Liberia will progress to their first finals since 2002 – and just the third in their history – should they see off the Leopards, who have included former Magpies defender Chancel Mbemba in their own 24-man squad.

A draw will be enough for Thomas Kojo’s side if Congo fail to beat Zimbabwe away from home. Lose, however, and they will definitely be out.

After playing DR Congo in Kinshasa, Liberia travel to the Ivory Coast for a friendly encounter in Bouaké.

Meanwhile, Elias Sørensen will link up with Denmark Under-20s for a friendly against Romania in Marbella a week on Monday.
