The winger played in all four of the Magpies' matches as they picked up eight points, scoring a spectacular winner against Burnley and setting up two more goals.
As well as teeing up Jacob Murphy's equaliser at Turf Moor, it was after Saint-Maximin's run and shot that West Ham's Issa Diop put through his own net in United's 3-2 win at St. James' Park, while his pace, power and skill provided a huge impetus to Steve Bruce's side after he'd missed the whole of March through injury.
Voting for the award opened here at 11am (BST) on Friday and closes at 6pm (BST) on Monday. The winner will be announced next week.
Nominated alongside Saint-Maximin are Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool, Stuart Dallas of Leeds United, Manchester United's Mason Greenwood, Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City, West Ham's Jesse Lingard, Matheus Pereira of West Bromwich Albion and Burnley's Chris Wood.
