The former Cherries man struck against his old club in stoppage time to earn Newcastle a point at the Vitality Stadium, and see him shortlisted for the award, which was won by team mate Fabian Schär last time out.
Schär's long-range effort against Burnley got the prize for February's best top flight goal and Ritchie is one of eight nominees for the March award.
Also shortlisted are Diogo Jota of Wolves, for his goal against Cardiff, Southampton's Yan Valery and James Ward-Prowse, for their strikes against Manchester United, and the Red Devils' Andreas Pereira for his reply in the same game.
Anthony Knockaert's goal for Brighton against Crystal Palace is also nominated alongside Eden Hazard's effort for Chelsea against Wolves and Karlan Grant's strike for Huddersfield against West Ham.
Magpies supporters can vote for Ritchie to win here. Voting closes at 6pm (BST) on Monday and the winner will be announced next week.
