A former youth player at a number of league clubs, Davies has taken charge of two Newcastle matches this season - the 6-0 win at Queens Park Rangers in September and the 4-0 home win against Birmingham in December.

So far this term he's refereed 30 matches in all competitions, showing 109 yellow cards and four red.

On Tuesday night, he will be assisted by Ian Cooper and Adam Crysell. Keith Stroud will be the fourth official.
