Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope has been nominated for the Premier League's EA Sports Player of the Month award for August

The England international has already won the Magpies' FUN88 Player of the Month award after making a superb start to life at St. James' Park following his summer move from Burnley.

He kept clean sheets in his first two matches and also made a string of stops to help earn Eddie Howe's side a 3-3 draw against champions Manchester City, while his 19 saves across the month was the third highest in the top flight.

Pope is shortlisted for the award alongside Man City ace Erling Haaland, Arsenal duo Gabriel Jesus and Martin Ødegaard, Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha, Fulham's former Newcastle forward Aleksandar Mitrovic, Rodrigo of Leeds and Brighton & Hove Albion's Pascal Gross.

Supporters can vote for the winner here, with voting closing at 12 noon on Monday, 12th September. The winner will be announced on Friday, 16th September.
