Newcastle United Women's first team and development squads were joined by friends and families at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead hotel last week to celebrate their successful 2023/24 seasons.

The evening saw Becky Langley and Courtney Vacher's sides recognised for their achievements in winning the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division and FAWNL Reserve Northern Division respectively.

Players from both squads were rewarded, with categories including Manager's Player of the Year - selected by Langley and Vacher - and further awards chosen by peers and supporters.

With the dust now firmly settled on a fantastic 2023/24, here is a full list of the winners from a memorable evening...

Manager's Player of the Year Hannah Greenwood - first team Ava Chapman - development team

Player's Player of the Year Emma Kelly - first team Ebonie Knox - development team

Fans' Player of the Year Liv Watt

Top goalscorer Bridget Galloway - first team Georgina Spraggon - development team

Young Player of the Year Hannah McIntosh

Special praise was saved by Vacher for the development side's top scorer, Georgina Spraggon, who is set to move Stateside having secured a full scholarship at Jacksonville University.

"She's been a key player within the squad, not just because of her technical qualities but because of her leadership and humility," said Vacher.

"We're delighted that she's been offered a full scholarship at Jacksonville University in Florida, and we wish her all of the luck in the world."
