Amber-Keegan Stobbs is the latest acquisition for Becky Langley's Newcastle United Women ahead of the 2023/24 season

Stobbs, whose first name is a product of her father's love for Newcastle United legend Kevin Keegan, arrives in the North East from Women's Championship side Lewes FC Women.

Starting her career at Washington Spirit in the United States, the 30-year-old midfielder has a catalogue of experience across numerous divisions, including the Women's Super League, the Championship and the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division.

Newcastle will compete in the Northern Premier Division in 2023/24.

The midfielder is no stranger to success, either, helping Washington Spirit Reserves win the USL W-League national championship in 2015.

Stobbs has represented Reading Women, Everton Women, West Ham Women, Charlton Women, Crystal Palace Women, Watford Women and Lewes throughout her career, meaning she brings a wealth of knowledge to Langley's side.

Upon securing the midfielder's signature, Langley shared her delight, saying: "Amber is a top professional.

"She is a Southerner with a bubbly and driven personality. Her leadership qualities are second to none, and she's a massive Geordie fan - hence the Keegan in her name.

"She will give absolutely everything for the black and white shirt."

See Amber-Keegan Stobbs in action when Newcastle United Women play West Bromwich Albion Women at St. James' Park on Saturday, 5th August as part of the two-day Sela Cup, presented by VisitMalta. Buy tickets here.
