The Group E encounter was due to take place on Wednesday, 18th January at Whitley Park but the fixture was postponed due to a frozen pitch following chilling temperatures on Tyneside.

However, the cup clash will now take place on Wednesday, 25th January at the same venue, with kick-off set at 1pm (GMT).

The young Magpies, who reached the Premier League Cup final in 2019, are unable to progress into the knockout stages of the competition after losing their opening four matches and face a Robins side who sit in top spot on 10 points.
