United teenager selected for Young Lions squad

The teenager has earned his first international call-up at any level for three games to be played this month. The 20-man squad is largely made up of players from last year's FIFA Under-17 World Cup group, but Wilson's form for Newcastle has seen him included.

Although listed in the squad as a defender, the former Newcastle City Juniors player usually plays for the Magpies as a left-winger, although he can operate as a full-back.

England face Qatar at St. George's Park on Wednesday, 21st March before taking on Argentina two days later.

And their final game comes against Belarus on Monday, 26th March. All England under-18s games are played behind closed doors.
