United had been set to welcome Villa to St. James’ for their third fixture of the season under their lights at the stadium, but due to the recent inclement weather – which has seen the North East covered in snow in recent days – the fixture has now been postponed.

And the Magpies’ Under-18 side will also be without a game this weekend, as their game against Middlesbrough, which was due to be played at Newcastle’s Little Benton Academy on Saturday morning, has also now been postponed.

New dates for the fixtures will be confirmed in due course.
