Newcastle United will face Bromley at home in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The Magpies - who reached the quarter-finals last term - entered the competition on Monday evening along with the 19 other Premier League teams and 24 Championship sides when the draw was made by Dion Dublin and Mark Hughes on BBC Two.

Eddie Howe's side's first hurdle to overcome in this season's FA Cup will be League Two side Bromley, who will travel to St. James' Park in the new year.

The Ravens are managed by former Magpies goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman, whose son, Freddie, played nine times between the posts for Newcastle.

United beat Sunderland, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers - all away from home - to reach the last eight in 2023/24, but their hopes of a Wembley trip were ended by defeat at Manchester City.

All third round ties are due to take place over the weekend of Saturday, 11th January 2025. Further details, including a confirmed date and ticket details, will be announced in due course.
