Monday saw the reveal of the costs for players from each top flight club in the popular game, which is played by over seven million players – making it the biggest fantasy football competition in the world.
And United-supporting players now know how much it will cost to add some of Steve Bruce’s squad to their own rosters, with frontman Wilson – the club’s leading goalscorer last season – allocated the highest price, at £7.5 million. He was also the highest-scoring Newcastle player in the FPL last season, bagging 134 points.
Fellow forwards Allan Saint-Maximin and Joelinton are priced at £6.5 million and £6 million respectively, while midfield trio Miguel Almirón (United’s second highest scorer with 97 points), Jonjo Shelvey and Ryan Fraser are valued at £5.5 million in the game.
Matt Ritchie – who helped the Magpies finish last term strongly after impressing at left wing-back – is the costliest defender on the list at £5 million, while goalkeepers Martin Dúbravka and Karl Darlow are both priced at £4.5 million.
