The reception at Newcastle Civic Centre was held to celebrate United's success over the course of the 2022/23 campaign, which saw them reach the Carabao Cup final and qualify for the Champions League after finishing fourth in the Premier League.

The Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Councillor Veronica Dunn, and the leader of Newcastle City Council, Councillor Nick Kemp, met with head coach Eddie Howe and his backroom team before being introduced to his first team squad at the event, where guests gathered to commend the Magpies on their stellar season.

The Lord Mayor addressed the Magpies after they were welcomed by a children's choir, with United's sporting director Dan Ashworth also speaking on the club's behalf as guests from across the city had the chance to meet and congratulate Howe and his team.

Serena Taylor was there to bring nufc.co.uk this gallery.
