A look at the weekend's action involving Magpies players currently out on loan

Dylan Stephenson

The young forward, who spent time out on loan at Hamilton Academical in Scotland last term, got off the mark for South Shields - the National League North side he joined last month - on Saturday.

Stephenson opened the scoring at Gloucester City in the first half before rounding off an emphatic 5-0 win with the final goal in the dying moments as Elliott Dickman's men's promising recent run continued.

Ryan Fraser

The Scotland winger has been in fine form for Southampton this term, but didn't manage to get on the scoresheet as the Saints fought back to win 5-3 at home to Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Saturday.

Fraser started the game at St Mary's but was replaced by Samuel Edozie with just under 20 minutes left.

Isaac Hayden

Hayden made his home debut for Queens Park Rangers against one of his former loan clubs, Norwich City, on Saturday, playing all but the final four minutes of the eventual 2-2 draw at Loftus Road.

Jamal Lewis

Left back Lewis played the full 90 minutes for Watford, but they were beaten 2-1 by promotion hopefuls Leicester City in the second tier.

Jeff Hendrick

Republic of Ireland international Hendrick, who has not been registered in Sheffield Wednesday's 25-man squad for the second half of their Championship campaign, missed out on the Owls' 2-0 home win over Birmingham City.

Harrison Ashby

The former West Ham full back remains sidelined through injury and couldn't take part in Swansea City's 1-0 win at Hull City.

Kell Watts

Wigan Athletic were beaten 2-1 by Exeter City in League One at the weekend, with defender Watts not part of the Latics' squad.

Matty Bondswell

Bondswell also didn't feature for his side at the weekend - he wasn't part of the Newport County side that won 3-0 at Walsall in League Two.

Michael Ndiweni

Forward Ndiweni - who made his Premier League debut for the Magpies against Chelsea earlier this season - was handed a first start for Annan Athletic as they sealed a 2-1 win at Hamilton in Scottish League One. He played 79 minutes before being withdrawn.

Yankuba Minteh

Gambian winger Minteh, back from the Africa Cup of Nations, played the first 70 minutes of Feyenoord's 2-0 derby win over Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie.

Garang Kuol

Australian international Kuol was also in action in the Dutch top flight, coming off the bench for a 12-minute cameo in Volendam's 5-1 home defeat to PSV Eindhoven.

Rodrigo Vilca

Vilca wasn't involved as FK Vozdovac resumed their Serbian SuperLiga campaign with a 2-1 defeat at Red Star Belgrade.
