Oisín McEntee scored the first goal of his senior career as Morton beat Partick Thistle on Tuesday night

The Republic of Ireland under-21 international defender fired home from close range in the 80th minute to give the Greenock side three important points in the Scottish Championship in what was the 19th appearance of his season-long loan spell at Cappielow Park.

Elsewhere, Joe White claimed an assist for Hartlepool United as they won 2-1 at Colchester United in League Two, while Elliot Anderson played the opening 58 minutes of Bristol Rovers' 2-0 win at Leyton Orient in the same division.

In League One, Kell Watts and Matt Bondswell were unused substitutes for Wigan and Shrewsbury respectively while Jack Young wasn't in the squad for Wycombe.

And in the Championship, Freddie Woodman was denied the opportunity to face one of his former loan clubs as current side AFC Bournemouth's home game against Swansea was postponed due to storm damage to the Cherries' Vitality Stadium.
