Woodman and Woolston record shut-outs for their temporary teams

Woodman's shut-out came as Kilmarnock held Rangers to a draw on Wednesday, with the Newcastle netminder making a couple of good saves.

Sean Longstaff also played the full game, and came close to scoring, while Callum Roberts appeared as a late substitute.

Meanwhile Paul Woolston was between the posts on Tuesday as Blyth Spartans gained another win - this time a 1-0 success at Rushall Olympic.

Spennymoor Town were also in action on Tuesday, although Ben Smith wasn't involved in their 4-0 win at Matlock Town.

However, it wasn't all good news for Newcastle's on-loan goalkeepers. Tim Krul's AZ Alkmaar were beaten 4-1 by Ajax on Wednesday.

Emmanuel Riviere was an unused substitute for Real Osasuna as they recorded a 1-0 win at Alaves.

On Thursday, meanwhile, Siem de Jong played the whole game for PSV Eindhoven as they drew 2-2 at Twente.
