Matt Ritchie – who missed United’s 2-1 win over Cardiff City a fortnight ago through suspension – returns at the expense of Christian Atsu, who drops to the bench.

Jack Colback replaces Isaac Hayden in central midfield, while Dwight Gayle will lead the line, coming in for Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Yedlin, Atsu, Hayden and Mitrovic have all represented their national sides at some level since the Magpies’ last outing.
