The Magpies take on West Bromwich Albion Women in the late kick-off (18:00 BST) on the first day of the weekend tournament, following the men's team's clash with Fiorentina.
Speaking ahead of the showcase two-day event, presented by VisitMalta, Langley says that the competition is a great opportunity for Newcastle Women to expand their fanbase.
"One person who has never seen women's football might stay and watch the women's game after the Newcastle men's game," she told nufc.co.uk.
"So actually that's just one more person watching a women's football game which might spark the interest and grow our audience.
"It's absolutely brilliant and I'm excited to see what sort of crowd we can get."
Newcastle Women have experienced a summer of change, with eight new players coming through the doors on Tyneside following the retention of 16 members of the squad who helped United lift the FA Women's National League Division One North title last term.
With the 2023/24 season almost upon the Magpies - their season curtain-raiser against Halifax Women is set for Sunday, 20th August at Kingston Park - Langley says the clash against fellow tier-three side West Brom will be beneficial to their preparations for the campaign.
"I think to be honest we are playing to win every game we play," she declared. "Whether it's a pre-season game, a league game or a cup game, we will be approaching each one with the same excitement.
"We will be playing to beat West Brom (on Saturday). They are a team in our league and we want to show them what we can do this season. It's going to be a good challenge and we are right up for it."
