Dave Watson's young Magpies had defeated Beijing Morning Star United 9-0 on Tuesday, and ran out 2-0 victors against Japanese side Komazawa Uni FC at Scroggy Road in Limavady.
And that was enough to take them through to the semi-finals of the main competition, where they will face Ghana's Right To Dream on Thursday.
United took the lead early on as defender Oisin McEntee headed home from Adam Wilson's corner.
And they had the chance to make it 2-0 shortly before half time, when Deese Kasinga Madia was fouled in the box but saw his penalty saved. But Newcastle were awarded another spot-kick in the 66th minute and this time captain Matthew Longstaff made no mistake from 12 yards.
