Newcastle United's young forward Kuol, who is currently on loan at FC Volendam in the Netherlands, is part of Australia's squad for the Under-23 Asia Cup finals in Qatar, and made a substitute appearance in their first game against Jordan on Monday.

The Olyroos couldn't find a way through, though, and will now look to seal victories against Indonesia and Qatar in their remaining Group D fixtures. Kuol's brother Alou is also part of the Australia squad, and started in their goalless tournament opener.
