Just a handful of tickets remained for the match when the points requirement dropped to 45 on Wednesday morning, and they were quickly snapped up.

The Magpies travel to the John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday, 20th August (1.30pm kick-off), in what will be their first away game since their return to the top flight.

United have been given an allocation of 2,340 tickets for the fixture.
