The Wiltshire-based whistler hadn't been the man in the middle for a Magpies match before taking charge of the game against Fulham on the opening day of the campaign.

On Wednesday, he will be assisted by Christopher Akers and Billy Smallwood. Jeremy Simpson will be the fourth official.
