Jeff Hendrick has been named in the squad for Republic of Ireland's upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Portugal and Luxembourg

The Newcastle United midfielder, who scored in his most recent Magpies appearance at Wolves, was impressive for his country in their 3-0 win in Azerbaijan last month.

And manager Stephen Kenny has again called on him for Portugal's visit to the Aviva Stadium on Thursday, 11th November and the game in Luxembourg three days later.

Emil Krafth, meanwhile, has been selected by Sweden - who currently top Group B - for their trip to Georgia (Thursday, 11th November) and home clash with Spain (Sunday, 14th November).

Krafth is joined in Janne Andersson's squad by AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the 40-year-old - who came out of international retirement earlier this year - hoping to help the Blågult book their place in Qatar for the finals.

At under-21 level, defender Oisín McEntee is in Jim Crawford's 25-man Republic of Ireland squad for two home UEFA Under-21 European Championship qualifiers against Italy, on Friday, 12th November, and Sweden on Tuesday, 16th November. McEntee is currently on loan with Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton.
