Gregory - a January signing from Aston Villa Women - delivered a dangerous free kick to the back post on Sunday which allowed Deanna Cooper to slot home the winning goal for Newcastle United Women against Bristol City Women.
United's Scotland international is no different from any other winger in the sense she's always looking to get on the scoresheet, but Gregory is just as keen to help the side out at the other end of the pitch and out of possession.
"Every winger and every forward wants to score goals and wants to get as many assists as possible, so I'm always looking to add more of that," she told newcastleunited.com.
"I just want to do whatever I can to help the team, whether that be in or out of possession, but of course I'm hoping to get a goal or two in the coming games.
"Anyone who knows me knows that I'm my own biggest critic; I always want to do more and give more to the team."
It's now just over six weeks since Gregory put pen to paper and joined Becky Langley's side, having spent the first half of the season on loan with Southampton Women.
But the sizeable change in location does not appear to have affected her and the Lichfield-born winger believes the ease with which she's been able to settle into life on Tyneside owes a lot to the shared ambitions and off-field time spent with her team-mates.
"I've really enjoyed my time here so far," Gregory said. "We all share clear objectives and goals on the pitch and never get too ahead of ourselves.
"Off the pitch, we do quite a lot as a team and are often going out for coffees together, which is great and has helped me settle easily."
Time spent on the training pitch has also been crucial in Gregory's impressive start to life at Newcastle and she added how that paid off as she delivered a pinpoint cross to Cooper last weekend.
"I always know that Deanna is looking to get in at the back post and knew I had to hit it as hard as I could," she explained.
"When I was standing over the ball, I just thought I've got to fire this into the box, as it may well be one of our last opportunities to get the win - and everyone knows what happened next."
Langley's side have three more big games to come this month, including back-to-back derbies against Durham Women and Sunderland Women as they look to build upon their positive start to the month.
So while Gregory missed the first two encounters against the club's North East counterparts, she's already up for the fight and has hinted at what fans could expect to see from her.
"Everyone who's played with and knows me as a person knows how much I love a derby and a big occasion," she said.
"For me, we've got two big opportunities coming up and we'll be looking to continue the month as we started it against Bristol City."
Newcastle United Women's next home game is against Sunderland Women at St. James' Park on Sunday, 23rd March.
The Magpies are set to break the Women's Championship attendance record - and are hoping to break their own record of 28,565 for a women's game - by packing out St. James' for the derby clash.
