Anthony Gordon's goal for Newcastle United against Manchester City has been shortlisted for the Premier League's Budweiser Goal of the Month award for January

The Magpies winger's fine strike in the eventual 3-2 defeat to the champions is one of eight goals selected from last month, with the list also including two other strikes from the same game.

Gordon's excellent finish - which came after Dan Burn played him in down the left, prompting the former Everton man to cut inside and curl his effort into the bottom right-hand corner - is nominated alongside City's Bernardo Silva and Oscar Bobb, who also netted in that match at St. James' Park on Saturday, 13th January.

The other nominees for the prize are Nottingham Forest's Danilo, Neal Maupay of Brentford, Ben Brereton Diaz of Sheffield United and Crystal Palace duo Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.

Gordon's Magpies teammate Martin Dúbravka is also in contention for one of the Premier League's monthly prizes - the Castrol Save of the Month award, for his stops against Liverpool and City.

United supporters can vote for Gordon by clicking here. Voting will close at 12pm GMT on Monday, 12th February.
