Newcastle United Women face Alnwick Town Ladies at St James' Park on Sunday, 1st May in what is the Lady Magpies' first ever match in the 'cathedral on the hill.' Ahead of the historic fixture, Lady Magpies goalkeeper Grace Donnelly gave nufc.co.uk the lowdown on her teammates, both on and off the pitch...

Ellen Packham has bundles of energy and always has that extra gear in the latter stages of a match - she's rapid. Ellen puts the same amount of effort into making her lashes look perfect!

Jess Spark is a warrior, and smashes anyone and everyone in her path. She loves tackling almost as much as she loves Nando's.

Brooke Cochrane is our leader and our captain, setting an example for the rest of the squad with her professional attitude and high standards. Don't mess with her though, she's Blyth born and bred!

Jane Harland (below) loves nothing more than making a well-timed tackle and having amazing acrylic nails. She lives for defending.

Centre-back Olivia Watt has more skills than a lot of forward players, and her chop gets opposition attackers every time. Off the pitch, Olivia always makes sure that her smokey eye is on point before heading out.

Rachel Lee shows the youth how it's done. 'Shorty' enjoys coming out and having fun - but only if it is organised!

Despite being tiny, Beth Guy (below) somehow manages to win the header every time. The only thing she loves more than winning headers is bowling.

Get Sharna Wilkinson on the diagonal ball, because that girl has a ping and a half! She's also a right boy racer, knocking about in her Ford Fiesta ST.

While Keira Skelton is calm and composed on the ball, she needs to put more thought into her packed lunch choices. Absolutely horrendous!

Behind every great number nine is a brilliant number ten, and Georgia Gibson backs this up. She is the brains of the team both on and off the pitch, and absolutely loves a quiz.

Rosie Missen (above) doesn't shy away from a challenge, and her determination to win possession is key for our team. Off the pitch, Rosie is our dancing queen.

Lois Greenslade is a little terrier, getting at defenders to win the ball and then run at them with purpose. Like Georgia Gibson, Lois loves a team quiz - but only the music round!

Georgina Spraggon's quick feet make her a nightmare for opposition defenders, along with the ability to hammer home left-foot volleys. She's just a lovely lass all round.

Erin Nelson attacks opposition defences in the same way as when she is presented with Indian food. On the pitch, her pace and skill are valuable assets, and off the pitch, she absolutely loves a chicken jalfrezi.

Kacie Elson dances around defenders at will and has amazing pace and ability. We have a little crew of players in the squad who also play for Northumbria University, and Kacie is definitely the crew leader.

There is nothing Anna Soulsby (above) loves more than taking a shot from distance and banging her head to music. It doesn't matter if the distance is against her, if Anna gets a sight of goal she will always take that shot.

Lauren Robson absolutely loves a step over to beat her player and create a chance. Lauren's quick feet are matched by the fact she is the only player in the team with a decent singing voice!

With Becky Ferguson it's a case of touch and bang, it's top bins. Becky is a great goalscorer but also a very sore loser when she loses games on the bus.

Katie Barker (above) is our number nine. She is a brilliant goalscorer and is absolutely NUFC mad. It wouldn't surprise me if Katie has pictures of Alan Shearer on her wall...

Cash turnstiles will be in operation in the East Stand on Sunday, with entry just £3 for adults and free for juniors. All supporters under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Further turnstiles will be open in the Gallowgate End and Leazes End subject to demand.
