The display will be seen by the eyes of the world on Sunday afternoon, with Newcastle United v Liverpool being broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and by international rights holders across more than 200 territories globally.
The group is looking for around 100 supporters to give up a short amount of time before the match to help them with preparations for the display, which will feature four giant surfer flags and potentially hundreds of smaller hand-held flags.
There will also be the introduction of a huge hand-painted flag across the Gallowgate End, which the group is keeping under wraps until just before kick-off.
Supporters are asked not to move the flags once they have entered the stadium. Once used, flags should be stored beneath seats and left there for the group to collect after the match.
How you can help
To volunteer before the match, supporters can head head to the area between the glass atrium and the players’ entrance (beneath the Milburn Stand) at midday on Sunday.
Alternatively, supporters can meet representatives of the group next to the Chicago Town Pizza stand at Access 11 in the Gallowgate End for a position or a flag.
