Eddie Howe's team continued where they left off last term with a fantastic 5-1 win over Aston Villa at St. James' Park on Saturday, with two of the club's summer signings scoring on their debuts.
Sandro Tonali took just six minutes to open his account for the club to give Newcastle the lead, but Moussa Diaby netted on his own bow for Villa to equalise five minutes later.
But Alexander Isak scored twice, once in each half, before Callum Wilson made it 4-1 in the 77th minute. And there was still time for Harvey Barnes to get a debut goal too to round off a hugely impressive afternoon from the Magpies.
