Loris Karius adorns the front cover of Sunday’s issue of UNITED – the Magpies’ official matchday programme – as Eddie Howe’s side look to get back to winning ways against Wolves at St. James’ Park.

Over the course of an exclusive, in-depth interview – his first since his arrival on Tyneside in September – Karius reflects on a whirlwind couple of weeks, culminating in a debut for the Magpies in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

A similar long read sees staff from across the club’s Benton HQ pay tribute to Christian Atsu, who tragically lost his life in the devastating earthquakes which hit Turkey and Syria last month.

Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves provides his latest column, while United Backstage, the feature in which we shine a light on some of those working behind the scenes at the club, continues with a look at academy sports scientist Angelos Eleftheriadis.

Eighteen-year-old Ben Parkinson, who’s just broken into the Magpies’ Under-21 side, provides this week’s Academy Diary, while Newcastle United Women’s Katie Barker tells us a little more about herself.

As always, club historian Paul Joannou and regular columnist Stan Gate provide four pages each; Paul looks back at some of United’s encounters with near neighbours Gateshead during the Second World War, while Stan brings all sorts of black and white insignia back to light in Toon Collectables. Toon Voyage!, meanwhile, a new series looking at some of the most significant geographical locations in the Magpies’ history, continues with a look at the old Newcastle Breweries site.

Furthermore, there’s ten pages on visitors Wolves, three more for Junior Magpies, boss Howe and skipper Jamaal Lascelles’ thoughts ahead of the game and lots of extra reading material.

UNITED will be on sale around the ground, priced at £3.50.
