New boy Anthony Gordon adorns the front cover of Saturday’s issue of UNITED – the Magpies’ official matchday programme – as Eddie Howe’s side welcome West Ham to St. James’ Park.

Over the course of an exclusive, in-depth interview, Gordon – one of two new recruits for Newcastle in January – reflects on his experiences playing against the Magpies for Everton and outlines his hopes and dreams for the years to come.

Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves provides his latest column, while United Backstage, the feature in which we shine a light on some of those working behind the scenes at the club, continues with a look at cheffing trio Andrew Cuthbertson, Chris Donaldson and Chris Jenkins, who are all based at the Magpies’ Benton HQ.

Frontman Callum Wilson is the latest to dip his hand into The Toon Tombola, discussing the Batmobile, Chris Rea and Eighties and Nineties martial arts films. Michael Ndiweni provides this week’s Academy Diary, while Newcastle United Women’s recent signing Cara Milne-Redhead tells us all about her journey to Tyneside.

As always, club historian Paul Joannou and regular columnist Stan Gate provide four pages each; on the back of the current United backline’s heroics of late, Paul takes a look at some of the club’s all-time defensive records, while Stan brings all sorts of black and white insignia back to light in Toon Collectables. Toon Voyage!, meanwhile, a new series looking at some of the most significant geographical locations in the Magpies’ history, continues with a look at the some of the club’s city centre offices and meeting points.

Furthermore, there’s ten pages on visitors West Ham, four more for Junior Magpies, boss Howe and skipper Jamaal Lascelles’ thoughts ahead of the game and lots of extra reading material.

UNITED will be on sale around the ground, priced at £3.50.
