Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has been named in the England Under-21s squad for their upcoming clash with Ukraine.

The young Magpies stopper is one of three stoppers named in the 23-man squad by Aidy Boothroyd, along with Manchester City's Angus Gunn - on loan at Norwich City - and Manchester United's Dean Henderson, who is on loan at Shrewsbury Town.

The Young Lions continue their European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign at the Obolon Stadium in Kiev on Friday, 10th November, with kick-off set for 3pm.

Woodman - who has been a fixture of Boothroyd's recent squads - has featured regularly for United's Under-23s so far this season, and will be hoping to win his third cap at under-21 international level, having earlier featured against Kazakhstan and Latvia.
