Aidy Boothroyd’s side take on Poland at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate on Thursday, 21st March before heading to Bournemouth to face Germany at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday, 26th March. Both games will kick-off at 7.45pm.

And 22-year-old Woodman – who has six caps for his country at under-21 level – has been selected as one of three goalkeepers for the double-header later this month.

Woodman has made four senior appearances for the Magpies, including three in the FA Cup earlier this season, and has also spent time out on loan at Crawley Town, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen in recent seasons.

He was part of the England side who won both the European Under-17 Championships in 2014 and the Under-20 World Cup in 2017, and made his debut for Boothroyd’s under-21s in a 1-0 win over Kazakhstan in October 2016.
