The young Magpies booked their spot in the last eight following a 5-0 win against Newcastle Blue Star, courtesy of Ellis Stanton’s brace either side of goals from James Huntley, Kyle Crossley and Josh Scott sealing a comfortable first round victory against the Northern League Division Two outfit.

Their reward is a home tie against Bedlington Terriers, who advanced into the quarter-finals after defeating Prudhoe YC Seniors via penalties following a 1-1 draw at Welfare Park.

Newcastle’s youngsters, bidding to lift the trophy for the first time since 2018, reached the final of the competition in 2022 before suffering a narrow 3-2 defeat against Blyth Spartans at St. James' Park.
