Newcastle United's Carabao Cup second round clash against Burnley will be played on Wednesday, 25th August, it has been confirmed

Kick-off at St. James' Park will be at 7.45pm (BST). The draw was made last week, with Newcastle never having met Burnley in this competition before. They have, however, faced the Clarets in the FA Cup, in 1894/95, 1953/54 and 1973/74, with United coming out on top in each tie, although required a replay in 1953/1954.

Ticket prices have also been confirmed and are as follows:

Adults: £10Concessions: £5Prices will double to £20 for adults and £10 on the day of the match. The club encourages supporters to buy in advance of the game.

Supporters who hold a long-term Platinum Bond covering blocks L2C/D/E/L2F do not need to take any action - their paper match ticket will be posted out.

Season ticket holders can purchase their seat only (if available - only the lower bowl will initially be on sale) from 10am on Tuesday, 17th August. Alternative and additional seats will then go on sale to season ticket holders on Wednesday, 18th August, along with tickets for Members.

Seats will then be released for full general sale on Thursday, 19th August.

Supporters should only attend the fixture if they are free of any Covid-19 symptoms, and are also encouraged to maintain good hand hygiene and wear face coverings in crowded areas unless exempt. To purchase tickets, visit book.nufc.co.uk.
