Bramall has only been a top flight official for a year, having been promoted to the Select Group 1 - the top rank for referees in England - in 2022.

Prior to that, the 33-year-old officiated in the EFL, with the majority of his appointments last term coming in the Championship along with eight Premier League games.

Bramall also refereed two matches in the Japanese J1 League back in March - Gamba Osaka's 2-2 draw with Consadole Sapporo and Urawa Red Diamonds' 3-0 win at Kashiwa Reysol.

So far this term, he has only taken charge of one top flight fixture - Liverpool's 3-1 home win over Bournemouth in August. In that game at Anfield, he issued his first red card of the season to the hosts' Alexis Mac Allister.
