There’s a candid six-page interview with Anthony Gordon inside Saturday’s issue of UNITED – Newcastle United’s official, acclaimed matchday programme.

In a lengthy sit-down piece, the forward – who struck for the first time at St. James’ Park in the Magpies’ last outing on home soil – opens up about his start to life in black and white, reflecting on lessons learnt and talking in depth about his self-belief.

Among the other contents of the 84-page issue – recognised as one of the league’s best last season – is a bumper historical section, increased in size for 2023/24. Club Historian Paul Joannou provides four pages, as does regular UNITED columnist Stan Gate, who brings all sorts of black and white memorabilia back to light. There’s the third chapter of The European Years – a new regular feature looking back at each and every one of the Magpies’ continental campaigns to date – as well as the latest instalments of The Poster Boys and When Worlds Collide, the latter shining a light on a couple of both clubs’ lesser-remembered players.

There’s plenty to read about United’s Under-21s and women’s teams, including in-depth pieces with Cathal Heffernan and Bridget Galloway and another new feature, Academy Alumni, in which we catch up with a different Magpies academy graduate every issue. This week, it’s Adam Wilson, who recently signed for Bradford City in League Two.

Sky Sports’ Pete Graves provides his latest column, while the Irish Mags NUFC Supporters’ Group – regular visitors to St. James’ on a matchday – take centre stage in Mags Around The World.

Furthermore, there’s ten dedicated pages on our visitors to SJP, four more for Junior Magpies, Eddie Howe and Dan Burn’s thoughts ahead of the game and much, much more.

UNITED will be on sale around the ground, priced at £3.50.
