The Magpies’ aggregate crowd for the campaign – including 18 Premier League games and one each in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup – currently stands at 1,010,328. Taking those latter two competitions into account, their average gate is 50,516. For the Premier League alone, that figure is 51,975.

United’s highest attendance this term came for the visit of Manchester City in December, with all bar four of their top-flight fixtures having attracted at least 52,000.

Newcastle round off their first campaign back in the Premier League against Chelsea a week on Sunday. Tickets for that particular fixture sold out within 24 hours of going on sale.
