The fixtures for 2021/22 were released on Wednesday morning, with the Magpies – who beat the Hammers 2-0 at the London Stadium in their first outing of last term – set to welcome David Moyes’ men to St. James’ Park on Saturday, 14th August.
United are also at home on Boxing Day, with Manchester United the visitors, but will travel to Burnley on the final day of the campaign in May.
Steve Bruce’s side follow up their opener against West Ham with a trip to Aston Villa a week later, before a home game against Southampton rounds off August.
September sees Newcastle head to Old Trafford to play Manchester United on Saturday, 11th September before a clash with Leeds United at home seven days later, with Champions League winners Chelsea due to face United on Tyneside on Saturday, 30th October.
Newly-promoted Brentford travel to St. James’ on Saturday, 20th November, before a testing festive period sees Bruce’s men travel to Leicester City and Liverpool on Saturday, 11th December and Wednesday, 15th December (8pm kick-off) respectively, before a home game against champions Manchester City on Saturday, 18th December and Manchester United on Boxing Day.
United kick-off 2022 with a long trip to Southampton on New Year’s Day, and will enter the FA Cup at the third round stage a week later. The Magpies will make their first league outing at Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday, 26th February.
A hectic April brings trips to Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City as well as home games against Wolves, Leicester City and Liverpool, before starting May at Manchester City on the 7th.
Newcastle’s penultimate game of the campaign – and final outing at home – is against Arsenal on Sunday, 15th May, before the season reaches its conclusion at Turf Moor on Sunday, 22nd May (4pm kick-off).
Unless otherwise stated, kick-off times for weekend and Bank Holiday fixtures are initially set at 3pm, with midweek games scheduled to kick-off at 7:45pm – but all dates and times are subject to change due to live television coverage. Any alterations to the fixture schedule because of broadcast selections will be confirmed in due course.
