The Dutchman was nominated twice for the award - for his strikes against Liverpool and Manchester City - but it was his stunner at Anfield which came out on top with 31 per cent of the vote.

Fabian Schär won the award for 2018/19, for his spectacular long-range strike against Burnley, while Ayoze Pérez had won the trophy for the previous two seasons, for his goals against Leicester in 2017/18 and Ipswich in 2016/17.
