Newcastle United ended 2024 with a fabulous 2-0 win at Manchester United, with goals inside the opening 20 minutes from Alexander Isak and Joelinton.

But it was Bruno Guimarães who earned 50% of the fan vote for Player of the Match for his dominant midfield display.

Guimarães had 92 touches in the match, more than any other player. No player in black and white completed more passes than Guimarães’s 63, while he also won all three of his tackles.

Goalscorers Isak (26%) and Joelinton (14%) also featured in the vote, alongside Anthony Gordon (10%).

Alexander Isak was voted Premier League Player of the Match by Sky Sports co-commentator Gary Neville.
