After two wins and two defeats on Saturday in a group comprising of eight teams, Newcastle's youngsters began brightly on Sunday in Burton upon Trent after beating Manchester City 3-2 before victories against Nottingham Forest and Benfica saw the young Magpies finish second in the group stages, booking a semi-final tie against Aston Villa.
The young Magpies, who scored 24 goals in seven group fixtures, claimed an excellent 6-0 win against their Aston Villa counterparts in the last four before defeating Arsenal 3-2 in the final to lift the trophy, the second time in the last three years that Newcastle's under-11 side have won the Premier League National Futsal Finals title.
