The young Magpies, who reached the final of the competition in 2019 before losing to Everton at Goodison Park, will begin their Group F campaign away at Huddersfield.
Only one of the Under-21s’ group opponents, Nottingham Forest, ply their trade at the same level of the pyramid, in the Premier League 2.
Their opening tie will be an away encounter against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday, 13th September at the John Smith's Stadium (kick-off 7pm BST) before hosting Fleetwood Town, Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield at Whitley Park on Saturday, 7th October (kick-off 2pm BST), Saturday, 11th November (kick-off 1pm GMT) and Friday, 24th November (kick-off 7pm GMT) respectively.
On January, 19th 2024, Newcastle will face Fleetwood at Victory Park, home of National League North side Chorley, before United's final group game takes place on Monday, 5th February against Nottingham Forest (kick-off 7pm GMT) at North Street, home of Alfreton Town.
