The young Magpies were due to face their Fishermen counterparts at Highbury Stadium in their penultimate Group F game on Wednesday, 31st January at 7pm (GMT) but the cup encounter will not go ahead due to a waterlogged pitch following heavy rainfall in Lancashire.

United's second-string, who reached the Premier League Cup final in 2019, currently occupy fourth spot in their respective group after recording two points from their opening four fixtures, holding Fleetwood to a 2-2 draw at Whitley Park in October.
