United drew 3-3 with Charlton Athletic just before the international break, with Shania Hayles' hat-trick helping earn them a point at Kingston Park before the Jamaican international forward and Welsh defender Lois Joel left the Newcastle camp to link up with their respective countries' squads over the past fortnight.

This weekend they will travel to the Midlands to face a Blues side who have made a fine start to the campaign, currently sitting top of the Barclays Women's Championship with five wins and a draw from their seven games so far.

Becky Langley's Magpies are just five points behind them after a strong start of their own, though, and Harriet Massey went along to training this week to bring newcastleunited.com this gallery from their preparations for another big game in the second tier.
