Friday marks the three-year anniversary of the former Bournemouth manager taking the head coach position at St. James' Park - and kick-starting the journey that took United from second-bottom of the Premier League to a place in the Champions League.

And European qualification is again the aim this term, but before this month's international break they face a tricky away game at in-form Forest, who currently sit third in the Premier League table.

Serena Taylor was at the Magpies' Benton training centre on Wednesday to bring newcastleunited.com this gallery from their preparations for the clash with Nuno Espírito Santo's men.
