Sandro Tonali has been nominated for the Carabao Cup Player of the Round for the quarter-finals stage.

The midfield maestro scored twice in Newcastle United's 3-1 win over Brentford at St. James' Park, capping a superb performance.

He fired the Magpies in front with a sweet strike in the ninth minute, then volleyed home his and United's second shortly before half time.

Also nominated are Spurs striker Dominic Solanke, Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal and Liverpool's Harvey Elliott.
