Defender Remi Savage has joined Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle on a permanent basis while youngster Dylan Stephenson has departed on loan

Twenty-two-year-old Savage joined Newcastle United in the summer of 2021 from his boyhood club Liverpool and appeared for the first team in a 3-2 pre-season friendly victory over Gateshead last summer.

After two-and-a-half years he now joins Inverness who are currently managed by former Magpies striker Duncan Ferguson and currently find themselves sitting eighth in the Scottish second tier.

Striker Stephenson, 21, has joined neighbours South Shields on loan until the end of the season after scoring three goals in ten under-21s appearances this term. He could make his debut for the National League North club this weekend against Boston United.

Cameron Ferguson has also left the club following a mutual agreement regarding his contract.

Everyone at Newcastle United would like to wish Remi and Cameron well for the future and wish Dylan the best for the remainder of the season.
