Youngsters Sean Longstaff, Callum Roberts and Josef Yarney have been handed another chance to impress by Newcastle United manager Rafa Benítez, with all three starting Tuesday night’s friendly at Hull City.

The trio all featured in the win over St. Patrick’s Athletic in Ireland last week, with Longstaff bagging a goal on his first team debut.

And they will all start on Tuesday, as the Magpies continue pre-season with a game against the Tigers.

Karl Darlow starts in goal, with DeAndre Yedlin, Jamaal Lascelles, Yarney and Roberts making up the back four.

In front of them, Jonjo Shelvey will resume his partnership with ex-Tiger Mo Diamé in the middle of the park, with Jacob Murphy and Matt Ritchie on the flanks.

And former Kilmarnock and Blackpool loanee Longstaff will provide support for Joselu in attack.

There are two goalkeepers on the bench at the KCOM Stadium, with Martin Dúbravka joined by Freddie Woodman, while Jamie Sterry, Javier Manquillo and Ciaran Clark provide defensive reinforcements.

There could be a debut for summer signing Ki Sung-yueng, who is among the substitutes along with former Hull man Isaac Hayden, Rolando Aarons and Victor Fernández.

Ayoze Pérez completes the list of players Benítez could call upon against the Championship outfit.
