Nick Pope returns to the Newcastle United starting line-up in a Premier League game for the first time since December as the Magpies take on Nottingham Forest (kick-off 14:00 GMT).

The goalkeeper comes in for Martin Dúbravka, who had started the last ten league matches, while Tino Livramento and Lewis Miley are also named in Eddie Howe's XI at St. James' Park.

For 18-year-old Miley, it's a first league start in more than a year and comes after an impressive second-half showing at Manchester City last weekend.

Sandro Tonali, who hasn't trained all week due to injury, drops to the bench along with Dúbravka - who signed a new contract with the club during the week - and Kieran Trippier.

Emil Krafth is also among the substitutes after penning a contract extension at St. James' Park.

Alexander Isak leads the line having scored in all three of his previous outings against Forest, netting four times in all.

Newcastle United: Nick Pope, Fabian Schär, Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak, Lewis Hall, Tino Livramento, Jacob Murphy, Joe Willock, Dan Burn, Bruno Guimarães, Lewis Miley
