Allan Saint-Maximin and Jonjo Shelvey return to Newcastle United's starting XI for their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur (kick-off 4.30pm BST)

And Javier Manquillo also comes into Eddie Howe's side as the Magpies' head coach makes three changes to the team which was beaten 1-0 at Everton last month.

Bruno Guimarães, Miguel Almirón and Emil Krafth - all of who have been on international duty in recent days - are the players who make way, with Almirón not part of the squad in North London.

Martin Dúbravka starts in goal after returning from Slovakia's camp due to illness, while Fabian Schär keeps his place in defence, having resumed training late last week following an injury which kept him out of Switzerland's friendly fixtures against Kosovo and England.

He will partner Dan Burn in the centre of defence, with Manquillo and Matt Targett in the full-back positions.

Shelvey - who missed United's previous two games with a knock - will wear the captain's armband and form a midfield trio with Joelinton and Joe Willock, while Saint-Maximin and Ryan Fraser will support frontman Chris Wood, who scored five goals and became New Zealand's all-time leading scorer during the international break.

Guimarães and Krafth are on the bench alongside Jamaal Lascelles, Paul Dummett, Matt Ritchie, Jacob Murphy, Sean Longstaff, Dwight Gayle and substitute goalkeeper Karl Darlow.
